Luxury car brand Jaguar, along with its Style Stakes judging panel, revealed their secrets to the winning fashion formula at an exclusive Dubai World Cup preview evening on Thursday last.
Jaguar took the opportunity to announce its new Jaguar Style Stakes Judges at the exclusive event at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai, and the city’s fashion elite were then given a sneak preview of what the expert panel of judges will be looking for at this year’s Jaguar Style Stakes, taking place on March 29th 2014 as part of the Dubai World Cup.
Judges announced at the event included Lebanese-Australian Jessica Kahawaty, who holds the title of Miss World runner up 2012, and is now the presenter for Yahoo Maktoob’s new entertainment shows, ‘omg! NOW’ and ‘omg! NUJOOM’. Jessica brings with her a wealth of experience from the world’s international beauty pageant catwalks and this year will lend the Jaguar Style Stakes her keen eye for natural style and elegance.
Another welcome addition to the annual fashion parade is Alanoud Badr, the Saudi founder of design label ‘Lady Fozaza’ who brings her enviable style credentials to the Jaguar Style Stakes this year. The renowned blogger, stylist and fashion consultant has become synonymous with the Dubai fashion scene in recent years and will add a healthy sprinkle of edgy chic to the event whilst she’s on the look-out for individual style and retro chic from ‘Best-Dressed’ hopefuls.
Jaguar also proudly welcomed a long standing member of the Arab fashion and beauty aristocracy; Joelle Mardinian. Arab Woman of the Year winner, TV presenter, make-up artist and regional creative director for Max Factor; Joelle brings with her a wealth of experience from the global fashion and beauty industry adding her trademark natural glamour to Jaguar Style Stakes this year.
During the event, the judges along with Jaguar MENA Marketing Manager Nicola Gibson, revealed their secrets on what it takes to win the best dressed accolade at the upcoming Jaguar Style Stakes. The intimate fashion show included a selection of designers including Versace and Ivana Helsinki along with creations from DAS Collection and Loai Naseem at Lomar.
Speaking about the new Jaguar Style Stakes judging panel, Marketing Manager for Jaguar MENA, Nicola Gibson, expressed her appreciation of their talent and expertise saying: “I am thrilled to be working alongside such renowned and respected names from the fields of beauty, fashion and design. Jaguar Style Stakes award categories include ‘Best Dressed Lady’ (winner and runner-up), ‘Best Hat’, ‘Best Dressed Man’, ‘Best Dressed Couple’ and ‘Most Creative Hat’. An additional category for ‘Most Elegant Lady’, sponsored by Longines, will be selected by a team of style-spotters as racing guests arrive on the day. The winner of the ‘Elegant Lady’ category will be presented with a Longines Conquest Classic watch featuring gold, steel and diamonds with mother of pearl dial.
The lucky ‘Best Dressed Lady’ will drive away a brand new Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible for a year and winners of the other categories will receive prizes from Jaguar and additional sponsors such as HTC, The Meydan Hotel, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa, Meydan Beach and Nstyle. The winner of ‘Most Elegant Lady’, sponsored by Longines and selected by a team of style spotters as racing guests arrive on the day, will also be presented as part of the Jaguar Style Stakes programme.
The Jaguar Style Stakes Arena will be located in the Apron Views area of Meydan Racecourse on 29 March, 2014. The full Jaguar line-up will be on display at the Jaguar Style Stakes Arena including the new, dynamically capable and performance focused Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé, alongside the Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible. The new flagship performance models adorned by the ‘R’ badge, the Jaguar XJR and Jaguar XFR-S, will also be on display boasting enhanced features, innovative technologies and new levels of luxury and comfort.
