Jaguar Gears up to Crown Dubai’s Most Stylish at Jaguar Style Stakes

Jaguar will once again play proud host to the hotly anticipated Jaguar Style Stakes, which will take place at the world’s richest race day – the Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday 30 March 2013.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Marking Director for Jaguar MENA, Hannah Naji commented; “Jaguar is widely known for its leading automotive technology combining power with style and grace, making the Style Stakes an ideal platform to gain traction with the core values of the brand”. She continued; “Fashion has always been an integral part of why people love coming to the races, and Jaguar is proud to partner with one of the world’s most respected sporting events to make this a day to remember, for those competing and of course for the spectators”.

Dubai World Cup attracts global attention as its line-up of world-class racehorses, jockeys and owners compete for a total prize fund of AED27.25 million. With approximately 80,000 guests attending, it is famed as the social and fashion highlight of the Dubai calendar.

Frank Gabriel, CEO of Dubai Racing Club, the organiser of Dubai World Cup said “We are delighted to welcome Jaguar back for their 4th consecutive year as title sponsor of the Style Stakes competition. Plans both on and off the track are looking very exciting for this year’s event, and it is a pleasure to see the caliber of the fashion focus grow each year with this partnership.”

A panel of judges from the fashion and media industry will have the difficult task of judging the Jaguar Style Stakes entrants and crowning Dubai’s fashion elite. Radio and TV presenter Simone Heng will join incumbent Jaguar Style Stakes judges Simon Lock (former Creative Director of Dubai Fashion Week) and Fashion Director and Stylist Mandi Kingsbury on the judges’ podium alongside Jaguar marketing manager Nicola Gibson.

Categories for 2013 include ‘Best Dressed Lady’ (winner and runner-up), ‘Best Hat’, ‘Best Dressed Man’, ‘Best Dressed Couple’ and ‘Most Creative Hat’. The lucky ‘Best Dressed Ladywill drive away a brand new Jaguar XK for a year and winners of the other categories will receive prizes from Jaguar and additional sponsors such as HTC mobile phones, NStyle International, The Meydan hotel, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa and Meydan Beach.  The winner of ‘Most Elegant Lady’, sponsored by Longines and selected by a team of style spotters as racing guests arrive on the day, will also be presented as part of the Jaguar Style Stakes programme.

The Jaguar Style Stakes Arena will be located in the Apron area of Meydan Grandstand on Saturday 30 March, 2013.  The full Jaguar line-up will be on display in the Jaguar Style Stakes Arena including the hotly anticipated Jaguar F-TYPE.
