London, 29th May: It was announced today that the first of Jaguar Heritage Racing‘s short CNN broadcast films will air this Wednesday, 30th May in markets across the world. The 60-second film is the first instalment of Jaguar Heritage Racing’s recently announced global media partnership with the broadcaster, which includes a series of 30 and 60 second films covering the Mille Miglia, Old Timer GP at the Nürburgring and the Goodwood Revival, in addition to a Jaguar Heritage-sponsored feature page on CNN.com (www.cnn.com/jaguarheritage).
The first 60-second film will appear during commercial airtime across CNN’s global network of 255 million households and hotel rooms across the world. The film, titled ‘The Fear and Exhilaration‘, captures Jaguar Heritage Racing’s 2012 debut at the renowned Mille Miglia road rally in Brescia, Italy, and demonstrates the magic and passion associated with Jaguar’s world-famous heritage.
The film also includes unique clips of British racing legend Sir Stirling Moss and Norman Dewis who drove a Jaguar C-Type off the start line in Brescia, just as they did in 1952, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first trial of disc-brake technology.
Frank Klaas, Global Head of Communications, Jaguar Land Rover said: “We are delighted to be able to bring the Jaguar Heritage Racing brand to a huge audience across the world. CNN has such an impressive reach across all corners of the globe, and a very affluent, intelligent and well-travelled audience. Having seen the first film myself, I know that CNN viewers are in for a real treat. The passion, magic, and all that Jaguar stands for, are there for all to see.”
Rani Raad, Senior Vice President of CNN Ad Sales & Business Development said: “Motorsport excites us here at CNN and is an ever-increasing part of our offering. Jaguar is a brand that needs little introduction across the world - it has an enviable history, and it has been exciting to capture this history for our large, global audience. Viewers will be able to watch our series of Jaguar Heritage Racing clips across our markets over the coming months, as well as keeping up to date with the latest news on-line.”
